For those of you not in the Jacksonville area, or who don’t know, Christy Whitehead is the owner of a few businesses. The one we’re going to spotlight today is her mustang rental for photoshoots and events! Her Mustang is a 1966 convertible and quite the beauty!
Christy Whitehead has always been a lover of old cars, especially older mustangs. She drove a 1965 red Mustang coupe in high school but had to sell it in college when she couldn’t afford the upkeep. But Christy’s love for old vehicles is more than being nostalgic, it’s genetic! After her grandmother passed without ever telling Christy’s mom who her father was Christy decided to gift her mom with a DNA test in 2018. Shortly after everything fell in place and they found her grandfather and his other 2 daughters and a brother. So how does a long lost grandfather being found make it genetic to love old cars? Her mother drove a 64 Ford Falcon and a 50 Chevy truck. Christy’s grandfather they found through the DNA test owns a car shop, that specializes in old cars. In fact he has a “junk yard” and it’s ALL old cars, cars going all the way back to Model A’s.
